David H. Ringstrom, CPA has worked as a spreadsheet consultant for over 30 years.  Early in his career as an accountant, David recognized the tremendous untapped potential to automate the accounting workplace using spreadsheets.

After overcoming his love for Lotus 1-2-3, he became an Excel enthusiast, learning the program’s many “hidden” features and combining those with his accounting knowledge to unlock Excel’s true power to streamline accounting work.  Through his consulting work and years of feedback from clients and other Excel users, David has developed a keen sense of what most users don’t know about Excel – but should, and so that’s what he teaches.

Today, he is the author or co-author of six books and a nationally-recognized authority in Microsoft Excel. David speaks at conferences and has presented over 2,300 live webinars on Microsoft Excel.

David’s books include: Idiot’s Guide to Introductory AccountingQuickBooks Online for Dummies (four editions), and Exploring Microsoft Excel’s Hidden Treasures. He is currently working on his seventh book, Excel for Accountants.
